The first trailer for "A Star Is Born" is out and there are the stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

In remake of an "A Star Is Born" director and star Bradley Cooper uses a voice so deep and gravel that sounds like Sam Elliot's signature sound.

"It was weird," said Elliott of Coopers film voicemail at the Los Angeles premiere of drama monday night. "It was good."

Cooper changes how he talks and sings (yes, it's Cooper's song) to play Jackson Maine, a tour musician who discovers the talented Ally (Lady Gaga). Jackson performs with real band Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real in the movie, and plays original songs written by Cooper, Gaga, Nelson and others.

After writing music and evolving his character's sound, Cooper finally ended up playing like a certain mustachioed actor from "The Big Lebowski" and "The Ranch."

Meanwhile, Cooper wrote his script to include an older brother and the thought that Jackson stole this character's voice.

Of course, Elliott had to play the role of brother.

"He established the voice before Sam Elliott would be in the movie, and then he must convince Sam Elliott to be in the movie," said producer Lynette Howell Taylor.

Fortunately, the meeting with Elliott went well.

"I went to meet Bradley in his home, I had never met him before. I spent a couple of hours talking to him and one of the things he did when I was there, he played this band of him
