Ministers Herbert Kickl (FPÖ) and Josef Moser (ÖVP) have come to an agreement: The new asylum agency can start on July 1. The Federal Agency for Supervision and Support Services (BBU) should place the care in the hands of the state – so far, the private company ORS was in the federal district. So you want to save two million euros a year.
More important to Kickl is: BBU will employ 110 consultants and provide interpreters and legal advice to refugees. NGOs, such as Caritas, Diakonie or Asylum in Emergency, will thus be deprived of legal advice, refugees need to charge their own expenses lawyers, including at the Federal Administrative Court. Kickl accuses the NGOs of delaying asylum procedures. However, Moser emphasized that legal advice was independent. Only the Legal Department ordered the Head of Department.
Kickl in AUSTRIA: "BBU guarantees objective and realistic legal advice. It means more efficiency and thus lower costs." Chancellor Sebastian Kurz also says: "The Federal Care Agency provides more efficient structures and also saves costs." G. Schröder
