In the playoffs in Melbourne before we reach the first qualifying session in the 2019 season, Lewis Hamilton continued his run of each session so far this weekend, which goes 0.264s faster than Ferrari Sebastian Vettel in Free Practice 3 at Albert Park.
Hamilton presented the fastest lap in the weekend so far before qualifying with a 1m 22,292s, which was sixty-times faster than his pole time from last year.

Friday Pace Analysis – Australia
Behind Hamilton and the two Ferraris came Haas from nowhere to dominate the midfield, Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen finished in spring and fifth, in front of both Red Bulls and the other Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas, who had a scrappy session, twice on the grass in Albert Park's second-last Turn 15.
Meanwhile, Daniil Kvyat continued to show the latent pace of Toro Rosso STR14, going P8 behind Pierre Gasly and Bottas , and in front of Max Verstappen, the man who replaced him at Red Bull in 2016.
Williams lap times have not made for happy reading so far this weekend. And Robert Kubica adds the team's misery by crushing the pit track next to the wall through the session and seems to take some bodywork from FW42. Kubica finished the session in P20, a place behind teammate George Russell, the team's best lap 3.6 seconds of the ultimate roof.
Saw some eye-catching laps on the board – and while it looks tight between Mercedes and Ferrari, let's see how things go out during the qualification for the Australian Grand Prix before we make any big statements for 2019.
