Apple has today released a rare update for its AirPort Utility application on iOS. Although the AirPort hardware itself has long since ceased, Apple continues to support the ecosystem when needed.

Today's update of the AirPort Utility application includes security enhancements and general stability improvements. Some users had reported issues with the AirPort Utility app on iOS 13, so this update is likely to resolve these issues.
Apple's Change Log is short and sweet:
"This update contains general stability and security improvements."
The company has not provided any further details on what kind of security enhancements include today's release, but we will be sure to update if we find out more.
During the summer, Apple released firmware security updates for the discontinued AirPort Express, Extreme and time capsule base stations. This marks the first time, however, that the AirPort Utility application itself has been updated in over a year.
The AirPort Utility app is available in the App Store as a free download.
Yeah, because it didn't work when you updated to iOS 13, lol
