AMD Athlon 200GE and Athlon Pro 200GE



In this interesting world where processors are released, but not formally announced, it means we can find processors that we have never heard of when you dive through the lists of supported processors on some motherboards. Thanks to the fact that we have heard on Twitter by one of our supporters, we can describe that AMD has two new 35W Ryzen processors that we previously did not know about.

The list of ASUS Crosshair VII Hero CPU supports the two new processors listed, supported by BIOS 0509:

Traditionally, the AMD uses the Athlon name for its combined CPU / GPU processors that have the GPU feature (which AMD calls NPUs or unaccelerated processing devices). What makes this interesting is based on Geekbench data already sent to the performance database (on an ASUS B350M motherboard), these parts both have an integrated graphics.

Between the two sources, processors appear to be essentially identical, with the difference in the Pro variant as it falls under AMD's commercial customer support brand. The part is then a dual-core processor with hyperthreading, running at a 3.2 GHz bass frequency, at a 35W TDP, and either 2 MB or 4 MB L3 cache (both sources indicate something else: ASUS lists 4 MB, which is usually more accurate ). Neither source indicates a turbine frequency, so Athlon processors may not have a turbo, but there is also no information about the integrated graphics. Neither ASUS's support list nor Geekbench traditionally lists these data. Geekbench lists it as a Raven Ridge part (meaningful to be a CPU + GPU design), which would also mean it was built at 14nm. Normally When Processors Are Not Communicated With the rest of the set, it means one of two things. First of all, they are not important to the story, and so from a PR perspective, it is meaningful for the company to leave them out of material (no matter how much media interferes) or that these processors are "off-roadmap" and are built to order from a certain customer. At this point, we are uncertain of where AMD stands on these parts.

It is worth noting that these parts do not have the name "Ryzen" in them.

Given that it's a long weekend in the US, while we've reached our contacts on AMD, we're not expecting a response to Tuesday. More information when we can handle it.

Update: Computerbase.de reports that these two new processors will be announced on Computex, and both of these parts have Vega 3 graphics
