Alabama vs Oklahoma points, Orange Bowl 2018: Live game updates, Highlights from College Football Playoff

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – No. 1 Alabama seems to be in total control at the half-time of the Orange Bowl, which leads No. 4 Oklahoma 31-10 in the second college's Playoff's semifinals of the day. Crimson Tide got things started early with touchdowns on his first three possessions and a dominant start of defense, which meant a new Orange Bowl record with 21 points in the first quarter. The Sooners showed some life during the second quarter, rallying back with two scoring units thanks to some huge catches of CeeDee Lamb and the fine playmaking of Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray.

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa not only saw 1

00 percent but played an almost perfect first half. The sophomore starter completed the 15-of-17 pass for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Backup QB Jalen Hurts also played several snaps, many of them in a brand new offensive set containing both quarterbacks on the field simultaneously with one in the shotgun and the other lined up outside at wide receiver. As a team, Alabama average 8.2 meters per game, converted 5-by-7 third downs and just punted once. If Oklahoma will be stormed back, it will need more from Murray, who only completed 6-13 of 13 passes in the first half for 122 meters and made the most of his work on the ground, leading the team into rushes with 46 net nine attempts.
