Three new distinctive license plates will be available in Alabama on July 1. There are three existing plates that are getting a new look.
The Alabama Department of Revenue said plates for Colon Cancer Awareness, Prostate Cancer Research and Thank you to Lineman have exceeded the minimum number of pre-commitments and will be available for sale.
The plates cost an additional $ 50. Proceeds go to:
Colon Cancer Awareness – Colon cancer awareness group Rumpshaker will use money to raise awareness about the condition, as well as funding monthly support group and scholarship program.
Prostate Cancer Research ̵
Thank a Lineman – Proceeds go to the Central Alabama Community Foundation to fund education and health programs
Four other tags are being redesigned.
The Letter Carriers, Choose Life (Support Adoption) and Pink Breast Cancer (formerly Fight Breast Cancer-Joy to Life) tags were all resigned and will be available next month. The tags are being shipped to any county based on the number of current registrations. The Jefferson State Community College tag was also tagged with tags shipped to Jefferson County.
