Bengal's wide receiver A.J. Green's rehabilitation from ankle injuries that have kept him out of the field since late July took a step forward on Wednesday as he ran and cut at full speed for the first time.
It will take another big step forward on Thursday. Geoff Hobson on the team website reports that Green is in helmet and pillows on the exercise and is set to " very limited " participation in the team's training session. a time when there has been a spike in trade talks involving him. Green said on Wednesday that he has not heard anything about an agreement and that he is not "fantasizing" about one, but added that he is prepared for something.
A return to game action this weekend is probably out of reach, but getting back to full speed before the October 29 deadline probably wouldn't do much to reduce speculation that Green would be away from the only NFL team that he have ever known.
