We tested a Ford Ranger Lariat Supercab 4×4. There is a lot to take in, but this means that it is a top trimmer with an extended cab and four-wheel drive. Extended cab trucks have small rear seats and half-size rear doors that can only be opened when the front doors are open, also called "suicide doors". In comparison, a SuperCrew has four full-sized doors and larger rear seats.
The price of this configuration was $ 40,685, which sounds like a lot for a "small" truck. But consider this to include things like adaptive cruise control, track handling assistance, a premium sound system, a 6-foot bed and more pulling capacity than the gas-powered Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon. Diesel Colorado and Canyon will pull a few hundred pounds, but the latest Canyon diesel we tested was $ 48,290 and still lacked the sophistication of this Ranger.
