2018 MLB Draft: Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray Surprisingly Compiled No. 9 Overall of Oakland A s

Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley believes that quarterback Kyler Murray will stay with Sooners and play football this fall instead of immediately turning to baseball. Only time will tell if it's true because Murray now has a very hard decision to make after being chosen No. 9 overall in the 2018 MLB draft from Oakland A's on Monday evening.

According to MLB.com, the ninth pick has a slot worth about $ 4.76 million. Right outside the flag ̵

1; no proverb intended – it's a lot for Murray to consider.

Murray had a great season on flat batting .296 with 10 homers, 47 RBI, 46 runs and a .398 on-base percent over 51 games.

As a quarterback, he started his career at Texas A & M before being transferred to Oklahoma. Even though he was Baker Mayfield's backup last season and considered to be primarily to start this fall, he may not win Sooner's start job. Redshirt freshman Austin Kendall has been Murray's primary contest, and the two exited spring seems to be practically neck and neck. If Murray were to remain, he would have two years of football eligibility.

Remember that Murray, who was a high-ranking athlete before joining college, has been mom for his future. He has previously been regarded as a late first run-out perspective at best.

Harold Reynolds said on MLB Network that he expects Murray to play football for the OU this fall before observing baseball and A's after the season.
